Vice President of Reverse Mortgage Operations

Job Description

This lucrative position will include the overall supervision of all Operations from origination, processing, underwriting to the sale of the loans on the secondary market.This position requires a highly organized and analytical minded person who is able to show initiative and work without constant supervision.

Summary:

Supervises quality of underwriting, underwrite overflow, quality assurance, oversees operations staff performance, development and coordination of operations policies and procedures, thorough knowledge of current investor guidelines as it relates to Home Equity Conversion Mortgages or other investor products (“HECM”). The VP of Operations will also focus on the education, training, and closing of HECM mortgages. This will include, but not limited to the growth and development of branch and TPO production. The primary objective is to meet or exceed company funding mortgages forecasts.

Responsibilities:

· Establish and maintain high-performance Processing, Underwriting, Closing and Post Closing Departments.

· Work with HTL Reverse Operations Manager on procedures and policies for file flow from Origination through Post-Closing.

· Distribute all changes in the Mortgage Industry that pertain to Operations

· Research and implement new products and programs.

· Continual and on-going resolution with Operations staff to resolve problems/issues between retail/TPO sales force and Reverse Operations.

· Weekly and monthly reporting.

· Develop budgets and projections to support overall company business plan.

· Update training calendar monthly.

· Create all necessary training modules for posting on company WIKI

· Make modifications and updates to Reverse Vision software and relay information to Operations Managers on correct use.

· Work with Branch / TPO Development Manager on all implementation and training. (Branch services)

· Establish and monitor best practices/file flow between TPO and Reverse Operations.

· Work with legal on HUD and state audits.

· Work with Reverse Operations Manager on escalated loans with non-salable and non-insurable issues.

· Work with Reverse Operations Manager on performing Job Performances to meet time requirements.

· Work with Reverse Operations Manager on best practice for completion of payroll/bonus duties.

Required Skills:

  • 3-5 years recent Reverse Operations experience
  • 1 Year Non-QM is a plus
  • Familiar with LOS Reverse systems and Blitzdocs
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills with both broker and AE
  • Self-motivated, ability to meet production, quality and service standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment
Reverse Mortgage Processor

Job Description:

Position Summary:
The Loan Processor’s responsibility includes under general supervision, data entry, verification of all accurate data into ReverseVision system. mortgage loans. Addresses errors and inconsistencies with data while prepping files for underwriters. Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS: 
May include but not be limited to the following:

  • Assembles documents in loan file
  • Verifies all data for accuracy; recognizes and corrects errors in source development
  • Ensures confidentiality of client records
  • Acts as liaison with, loan officers, real estate agents, etc.
  • Manage loan from processing through funding
  • Other duties and/or mortgage or company related tasks as assigned by management
  • The employee shall work well under pressure, meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines and shall at all times demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisor.
  • Able to manage min 25-30 loans in pipeline
  • Efficient time management and organization skills

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent plus minimum of 3 years mortgage experience.
REVERSE VISION experience is a PLUS
Basic computer skills required: ReverseVision, email, excel

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as promissory notes, regulatory and legal directives. Ability to
write correspondence and speak effectively to customers and employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages. Ability to apply
concepts of basic math.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data for resolution, establish facts and provide information that is
thorough and concise to management for resolution. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical

Mortgage Loan Processor

Position Summary:

HighTechLending’s Non-QM Loan Processor principal accountabilities require tasked within the designated time frames established by Management and outlined in the Processing Flow Responsibilities.

Essential Duties:

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Perform all processing required tasked within the designated time frames established by Management.
  • Follow up on all outstanding orders with third parties and clients.
  • Obtain and review all required loan conditions issued on the loan with the loan officer, coordinate with buyers, sellers, title companies, closing agents, and real estate agents to obtain additional documentation, complete loan submissions and ensure a successful closing.
  • Responsible for submission of any non-delegated or brokered loan files to the applicable investor in accordance with investor requirements.
  • Obtain all final verification required on all loans prior to closing.
  • Responsible for managing individual pipeline to ensure system data is correct, turn-times met and all compliance requirements adhered to.
  • Responsible for daily communication to designated team members.
  • Main point of contact for clients and originators regarding loan file status.
  • Ability to maintain high client services levels and provide proactive communication with client through all phases of the loan process.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years processing/underwriting experience in mortgage loans; minimum of 5 years strongly preferred
  • Full understanding of income analysis, title analysis, appraisal analysis, credit analysis RESPA, TILA, TRID, hazard insurance, and be proficient in both refinance and purchase transactions.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to manage difficult conversations to a successful outcome and positive client experience
  • Working knowledge of conventional and government guidelines, as well as, Federal and State compliance requirements.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks
  • Ability to manage pipeline daily while meeting monthly production and quality goals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills preferred
  • Fraud Detection

Desired experience:

  • Experience with Lending QB loan origination system a plus.
  • Hard Money and Non prime mortgage experience desired.

Post Closing Coordinator - Reverse

Position Summary:

The HECM Post Closing Coordinator responsibility includes performing audits on all reverse mortgage loans including inputting all accurate data into LOS system. Stack loan files in accordance with company and investor guidelines while ensuring the highest quality in loan document preparation and the timely submission of loan packaging to the investor for loan purchase.

  • Review closed loan files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance to company policy and procedures
  • Prepare closed loans in investor specific stacking order, complete required checklists and scan documents within a designated time frame. If electronic delivery is available, employee will use this utility in lieu of stacking the file
  • Transfer purchased files in MERS, HOI, Flood, etc
  • Receive, deliver, and track all trailing documents
  • Work directly with closing, funding, and closing agents to ensure follow up to closing, accurate completion, and delivery of loan in timely manner
  • Transfers loan documents and clear investor requested exceptions prior to expiration date
